Winter Break

Winter Break is the best thing that can ever happen to any teacher or student... You cannot go wrong with a free 2 week vacation with no work. The best thing about winter break is the fact that you can go on vacation and not have to worry about unexcused absences, tardies, idiotic students, or any type of work. I hope everyone has an amazing christmas and a wonderful New Years. I'll see you all next year, ready to start a new grading period(the joy).

Pen-pals from Spain

NHS has been setting up virtual webcam calls through Skype with other students from Spain. Being a part of NHS I find this very interesting, and intriguing. We come to our computer room during 2nd or 3rd period, we sit down at our selected area and they hook us up to Skype. In a couple of minutes, your randomly selected partner comes online and you start chatting. They give us a paper with a series of questions that we can ask, and from there the conversation unfolds. I met Carla, Amanda, Lucas, and Raul. After a while the conversation turns more exciting, due to the fact that we talk about what they do for fun, what their classes are like, etc. We trade Instagram usernames so they follow us, and we do the same back. We gave out our numbers on What's App and we text. It's awesome to talk to someone instantly across the world. I liked the whole idea, and I would definitely want to do it again.

SAT TESTING COMING UP

Extra! Extra! Extra Homework for Winter Break!

Packets....... packets...... and packets.....

I have this theory that teachers gather around,

plan out to give tons of homework at the same time,

just to stress us out and mess with our free time.

I've come to the conclusion....

that this is absolutely TRUE!

How to Survive:

1. Clear up any "get out of town" trips
2. Buy a new stack of computer paper and ink for your printer
3. A couple of movies for the break (That's all you'll be doing so choose wisely)

Have fun :)

High School Lunch.................

A healthy portion with a good variety, but too little food.
A High School in Kansas, has been protesting how small their portions have gotten. A 16-year-old football player protested that the food has been drastically cut in half and can't get the amount of protein he needs. The teachers agreed with this catastrophe and they organized a parody of the song "We are young" to  "We are hungry" to protest on these new laws set my Michelle Obama. I miss getting stuffed with good food at school. Now it's just becoming a drag to eat.

I've officially finished my finals for Dual Enrollment.

To celebrate, I'll share a picture of my weekend:
